How do you Change Someone? Print E-mail

Sometimes people ask me, "How do you hypnotize people?" Boy that is a loaded question! Attaining hypnosis is easy, but the techniques used to help illicit change in a person make up a whole hypnotist's treasure box. But I'll tell you something. You can be a powerful help to those in your life who need to make change and without using hypnosis. So See below my little piece on helping others.

Doing these things will help you to help others, something we are all called to do. Now, If you want to learn to help people FASTER than this become a hypnotist! Go to www.DallasHypnosisCareerTraining.com.

How do You Change Someone?

How do you change someone? Make sure change is best for them. Do they really need to change? Also it helps a whole lot if they want to change or are willing to change, so make sure of that too.

How do you change someone? You keep in mind a picture of them at their best, changed. But more you KNOW that picture is the real them. You hold that knowing all along and while holding that image you go on believing in them no matter what happens. It seems sort of magical that you could influence someone only by what you think of them, but this really works.

How do you change someone? You love them as they are on each turn of their journey to becoming. Even when they are screwing up or going back to old habits and behaviors. Sometimes the road to change has bumps and curves. Keep loving and believing. It will be worth it!

How do you change someone? You be the safe place where they can be honest and won't be rejected. You say things like, "I know how you feel. I felt that once too, I found that when I __________ that helped me a lot" or "It's so hard sometimes isn't it?"
How do you change someone? When they reveal personal information you say things like, What did that make you think?  What did that make you feel?  That must have been hard for you.  I'm so sorry you went through that.  Tell me more about __________.  It's safe to talk to me.

How do you change someone? You say things like...."There really isn't anything wrong with you. You're getting better and better. You are just as good as anyone else. I love you and I understand. You're good enough, smart enough, pretty enough eveything enough you need to be to do everything in this world that you were meant to do. You came here fully equipped. You are better and you are doing better." Sometimes we change on the inside before you see results on the outside.

How do you change someone? You help them see the wonderful future results by planting seeds like. "One day I see you _____________ (goal) and how will you feel when that happens?" (Keep their eye on the prize.)

How do you change someone? You point out the good. You notice it. You speak it. You can say, "What I really like about you is ____________. You praise. "You did that really well." "You are a superstar!" " Wow THAT was good" or "Good job."

How do you change someone? You let them have their feelings and you don't make them wrong for having them. You say things like, :"Get that out (when they cry or are angry). When you do, you're going to feel so much better. Anyone who has been through what you've been through would feel the same way."

How do you change someone? You remember that human emotion when fully expressed doesn't last very long and is nothing to be worried about. (Keep in mind, getting it out -expressing the emotion- does not include doing anything illegal or immoral. You might even tell them that if you think there is a dangerr them doing something immoral or illegal.) So, venting and crying are okay. Be strong. Hearing your loved one cuss or cry won't kill you, but will make them love you more because you didn't make them "bad" or "wrong" for having your feelings. You listened.

How do you change someone? You model the behavior you want. You model the peace. You model the love, the work, the forgiveness and the tolerance.

How do you change someone? You change yourself first to be able to be that calm energy and that behavior while they are venting or being emotional. Don't beat yourself up if you get upset when they get upset. You just need to reduce the emotion deep down inside of you so your negative emotions don’t resonate with theirs. (All human beings are boiling cauldrons of these subconscious emotions.) To get over your subconscious emotional stuff fast call a good hypnotist, or learn things like EFT or 7th Path. Best of these 3? Using the services of an excellent Hypnotist.
.
How do you change someone? You plant seeds and wait. Seeds like, "You'll do better next time." and "You are improving did you notice how you ________?" Or share a quote or book or movie that might help. Keep planting more seeds when appropriate. Make sure to plant during obvious opportunities for growth when they are open and ready (fertile). If they are closed you can still plant, but quickly and gently, and put lots of space between the seeds, or they may feel too much pressure and get mad at you. :o).

How do you change someone? Be patient and continue believing in them holding that energy of love and knowing something they don't know about themselves.... which is they are good. They are loveable. They can do it. They can become it.

How do you change someone? Pray for them. Prayer is your greatest power. The Divine listens to prayer…..especially when it's for others. I now there will be people who argue that or even argue that there is a God. But it's my opinion. And in this ever so humble opinion :o), none of us pray enough. Also, the best hypnotists don't do the work. We just have techniques and are vessels for the work being done. It's an amazing honor to witness change and be used in this way.

How do you change somene? You actually don't. They change themselves. You get to hold the space and be a witness to the wonder of it all and that, my friend, is the most satisfying space to be in. You'll love it and you'll love yourself even more because you will have done what most can not - give true unconditional love.

Love, Celeste

NEW! Hypnosis Research from France Print E-mail

Researchers from the Université de Lyon in Villeurbanne Cedex, France, studied guided imagery (something hypnotists do with most every client) to see if it could improve motor performance in the rehabilitation of burn patients. The study looked at the effects of a 2-week Motor Imagery training program, combined with conventional rehabilitation, on the recovery of motor functions in patients specifically with hand burns.

Fourteen patients at the Medical Burn Center took part in the study and were randomly assigned to either the guided imagery or the control group. Behavioral data related to the ability to perform each successive step of three manual motor sequences were collected at five
intervals.

The results showed evidence that Motor Imagery training may facilitate
motor recovery, and noted that the belief in the effectiveness of Motor Imagery was strong in all patients. Motor Imagery may substantially contribute to improve the efficacy of conventional rehabilitation programs. Therefore, this technique should be considered as a reliable alternative method to help burn patients to recover motor functions.

Hypnotists routinely do guided imagery and have for years. Guided imagery is just one of many tools a hypnotist uses for working with pain, physical ailments as well as stress and many other things.

The 7th Path and Happy Easter! Print E-mail

I believe that a human being is not only body and mind, but is body-mind-spirit. When doing hypnosis I show my clients how to work on their minds and emotions themselves. I also teach a body-mind-spirit approach to self-hypnosis if they want to learn it. It’s called 7th Path and it doesn’t matter what religious back ground you have or even if you are not particularly spiritual. You can learn it and begin to deeply change yourself in the most beneficial and profound ways. Here is a link to a site that explains more about it:

It's Easter Sunday as I write this blog entry..
